R.E.M. objavljuje novi cd box set "R.E.M. At The BBC"

R.E.M. je odrastao sa televizijskom i muzičkom korporacijom BBC i njihova istorijska saradnja proslaviće se kroz neverovatnu kolekciju koja lepo ilustruje muzičku karijeru jednog od najvećih bendova moderne muzike. Kolekcija je nazvana "R.E.M. At The BBC" i biće dostupna kao deluxe box set sa 8 kompakt diskova i jednim DVD diskom, kao i box set koji sadrži 2 cd-a, 2 vinila i kod za digitalno strimovanje ili preuzimanje. Ovo izdanje sadrži riznicu retkih i neobjavljenih uživo snimaka iz BBC arhive ali i arhive benda. Biće objavljeno za Craft Recordings 19. oktobra.
Box set ( 8 CD/ 1DVD), između ostalog, uključuje John Peel Session (1998), Drivetime and Mark and Lard appearances (2003) i slavni Radio 1 Live Lounge performances (2008). DVD počinje sa šezdesetominutnom intimnom retrospektivom legendarnih nastupa benda na BBC-u u filmu Accelerating Backwards, prethodno emitovan samo u Velikoj Britaniji i po prvi put dostupan na tržištu. Ovaj film takođe uključuje intervjue sa Peter Buckom, Mike Millsom i Michale Stipeom, što dodatno svedoči o dugim, posebnim odnosima između BBC-a i grupe R.E.M. Ovaj DVD sadrži i televizijske nastupe na "Top of the Pops" i još mnogo toga.
